CVT3: Conversion from the Machinery Directive to the Machinery Regulation

    Module Description:

The Machinery Regulation will be mandatory for mechanical and plant engineering from January 20, 2027—but also for companies that build, modernize, or retrofit their own equipment.

In the event of an accident, there is not only human suffering but also legal consequences and, not infrequently, considerable damage to the company's image.

This course provides an overview of the relevant changes compared to the Machinery Directive.

We will address key changes to definitions and added terminology, and clarify the changed legal nature of the Machinery Regulation compared to the Machinery Directive. In addition, we will address unresolved issues, such as how to deal with current standards.

Frequently misunderstood and problematic terms such as “grandfathering,” “assembly of machinery,” and “ significant change” are also covered in this module and explored in depth using concrete examples. In addition, you will have the opportunity to contribute your own experiences and challenges and reflect on them together.
